Anyone care to give me some feedback on design and construction? 7/64th's, minimum bury of 6" + the bremmel lock. First set I've ever built, load test tomorrow!!!! Trying to space these Stepladders out a bit more. TYIA!!!20191206_203103.jpg

Man that looks pretty smooth.

Only issue I see is I’d take off the metal ring that you have on the swaider carabiner. Looks like it would slide up and down. Might make noise too.

Ideally you want than to stay at the bottom of the carabiner so it pulls the bottom up when you get on your knaider. Makes it easier to unhook the carabiner from the step. At least that’s what I got from watching the Peter K videos and it’s worked well from me.

I use shock cord and wrap it tight around the carabiner to keep it in place on the bottom and then keep the other side clipped to my bino harness.

Looks like a good light setup man curious to see how it works out I might have to make one myself!

How bad will that knaider buckle dig into your calf? Maybe not as bad as 7/64 Amsteel.

There was a little dig from the knaider when I tested it last night (from the elastic retainer) on the back of my knee, but I was not in my hunting pants/bibs. I might have to lengthen that distance from the bottom of the foot loop to the hook. Everything I was reading recommended having the hook a few inches below the knee. I guess it changes the center of gravity. But mine wound up at the top of my shin bone (F-that noise, that dug in more than anything). Much appreciated on the feedback!!!

Tim_dawg22 : Thanks for the info on the 'biner. Load test and practice session tonite!!! Will update. Just getting into this Saddle/Lighten the load" approach. Lugging in a hang-on with big sticks, or dragging in a ladder stand is old news.

Everything is going to get cloth taped to dampen noise and movement.
