Any new thoughts on boots. Im new to the saddle, was in for a four hour sit with a ring if bolts. Wearing cheap rubber boots, won't do it again. Looking for more ankle support. Hit me up with any online sales.

Is it just your boots that need broken in? I had a similar issue with a new set of snake boots this year. I bought a pair of these to wear while they broke in, no more ankle pain.

Heck no to rubber boots and bolts. Get a mid weight hiker with some good vibram soles. Asolo, la sportiva, keen, merrel, garmont, limmer, lowe, etc. The support/stiffness of the boot will take a lot of pressure and fatigue off your calfs too.

Superfeet insoles are pretty helpful for adding structure and support to boots, especially rubber boots.
I put Superfeet in lots of my footwear.

I wear muck fieldblazers pretty much exclusively. I can sit on bolts fine. It all depends on how you hang.
