Anyone wash their saddle like JE?

For rope and saddle washers: y’all un-do your hitches and wash the cord individually? Same with am-steel on saddle bridge?

when my saddle is actually dirty, I wash it gently with PMI rope soap. Before @Fl Canopy Stalker told me about that soap, I used dilute Dawn. This is done in a bath tub with hand agitation and warm water. I soak in warm soapy water with hand agitation. Then rinse several times in warm warm water with hand agitation. Lay flat to dry with a fan running and flip the saddle periodically. I do the same thing with ropes, etc. as needed.

I can't say as I have ever washed any of my saddles. If they're dirty, its just that . . . dirt or tree bark. I wear it on the outside of at a minimum of 3 layers of fabric (sometimes as many as 5 depending on the weather). It shouldn't be getting stanky from me and I don't care if it has some natural camo added to the fabric.
