Does anybody use an arborist saddle for hunting? I've been looking at the New Tribe Aero Hunter Evolution and it looks very light duty compared to an arborist saddle. I'm worried about it lasting and being durable. I know if I purchase an arborist saddle, it will last a long time and be very durable, but I'm concerned it may not be as comfortable for long sits. Any imput would be appreciated.

The aero hunter is well made and I am sure it will last and it is very comfortable once it is dialed in for you personally

The aerohunter is very well made, and comfortable. It should last a good long time..

Also arborist saddles aren't designed for all day comfort in a single position. The aerohunter evo is...

You will find everyone will recommend against the arborist saddle. It's designed for a different purpose. You will probably also hear very few concerns about the longevity of the Aero Evo. Welcome to the site.

Thanks for the info. I went on the New Tribe website and did some reading on the Aero Hunter. For their sizing recommendations, the Aero Hunter is not recommended if you are over 240 pounds. I am 6 foot 2 and weigh around 265. Are there any larger people using the Aero Hunter?

I use an arborist saddle that I got used in Craigslist for $150. Good luck finding a aero hunter that cheap. As to all day comfort depends in how you hunt out of it. If you are expecting to put all your weight in it all day I don't know any saddle that's that comfortable. But all day sits are easy with the right tree. I personally prefer trees with stout limbs where I can sit or lay in a branch during the low activity times. Another way to deal with some discomfort is to move the waist belt down and sit in it. Or you can get very one of those sit drags(queue G2) and attach it at a second point to sit in or replace your leg loops with a sit drag all together. My point is while the Aero hunter might be more comfortable there's ways to get through the day that are much cheaper.

I am using a highly modified arborist saddle this year. Honestly, other than the color, you wouldn't be able to identify the original with all the modifications I have done. That being said. I love it. I used it all year. My gw and trophyline both sat in a corner all year.

New tribe is a great company who branched out from arborist saddles into the aero hunter which was designed specifically for hunters. The quality is great. If you have concerns about your size, I would contact them directly, they have great customer service.

I have 4 strap on climbing steps that I intend to position around the tree so I can partially stand during the day to stretch and take some of the weight off the saddle every hour or so, as well as to move around the tree if needed.
