Has anyone used the Duck tactical ascender? I can't seem to find anywhere/anyone that has a ropeman 1 for sale. looking for a alternative that won't damage my tether on linemans. My Brother used my kestrel for the first time saddle hunting while we were in Ohio and decided he had to have it. He is hooked on saddle hunting now. Thing is he got my ropeman 1 when he got my kestrel.

Vet wrap is a cloth tape you can wrap stuff with to prevent noise. On a Kong Duck I would wrap the carabiner well. On a ropeman it’s not needed.
 
I’m waiting on a Madrock Safeguard. It’s supposed to work as an ascender and decender. That will go on my harness. My foot gets connected to prusik attached to a webbing loop with a piece of garden hose.
