I just picked up this pack on amazon. I was really impressed with the quality. Fully customizable with the Molle webbing.

Man I hate that! They were on their website a week ago...maybe they are just out of stock. I should have bought a spare when I had the chance. You might like the Tarahumara pack. It’s a little smaller than the Connor but might work for a minimalist setup.

I’m definately considering the Tarahumara. I’m torn between it and a kifaru door gunner or E and E. Biggest thing I’d be carrying is a set of sticks and that’s not gonna be all the time. For years I’ve hunted with a fannypack and my tree stands but now majority of my kit is squirrel steps :)

Sweet. I’ve carried a fanny pack around for a while too and strongly feel less is more for most whitetail hunting. For your squirrelies, I wonder if you could get by with the HPG Heavy Recon chest pack. That thing looks like it’s built like a tank.

I have been running one of these with a water bottle pouch and one additional small accessory pouch so far early season and i am really liking it. I just ordered some lashing straps for extra clothing and i think i am going to stick with it all season. It carries my ozonics unit and DIY extension bracket, another hawk extendable bow bracket, saw, kill kit, grunt tube, bleat call, rattle bag, rangefinder, doyles hoist, some evercalm, chap stick, drink, 2 hawk screw ins & boom everything i need and nothing i dont! Best part is it was about $15. I have other pack set ups but right now this is easily the most compact. I decided to just carry my sticks in on a limbsaver bow strap...it is less fiddle factor and noise than taking off my pack and unstrapping them and then getting pack back on. As far as in the tree it has a small profile and hangs out of the way but accessible. I went searching because i was looking for the same thing you are and so far i am happy with it. For $15 you should give one a try!

I am in the market for a new back pack as well, I’m looking at a few different ones but haven’t settled on any particular one.

Could someone post a pic of their setups? Packs with sticks or packing platform, steps...

I walk in with sticks on a limb saver bow sling, platform rides on saddle secured with 2 locking d rings or grimloks and I posted my pack set up in thread already. I use two other d rings for carrying sticks up. Working pretty slick and quiet for me thus far.

Cool setup! Can’t beat that price!
