Anyone have a Barrel Band from everydayoutdoors.com, formally (barrelbands.com)?

Getting married the end of this year and I want something different for my ring. I came across these online and think the idea is unique it's certainly a converstaion starter to have your ring be made out of a shotgun barrel. I'll be getting a silicone ring for when I'm climbing, too many horror stories of getting fingers caped, but for everyday use and non-climbing hunting, I think these are pretty neat.

Interesting. I've never heard of a barrel band. I like the idea though. Just an FYI, if your interested in a silicone ring. Groove has a buy their belt get a ring for free deal going. The belt looks pretty slick.

LOVE my groove belt. If you don't have one, ask for one for birthday, christmas etc. or buy one yourself. It is 100% worth it.

To be honest once you wear a silicone ring it feels weird putting on a metal ring. I wear a silicone all the time because accidents happen all the time and metal rings get stuck. When I fish or hunt the silicone ring goes on my watch band.

But, those do look cool.

I never understood the bands made out of metals that are harder than anything the hospital would have to cut it off in an emergency (thinking of tungsten carbine, but maybe titanium also).

If your gonna ware it everyday I recommend the lightest material possible, I know we're talking grams but my first ring(lost) was heavy, thick and annoying compared to my new one and the new one has beveled edges inside where your finger slides in to where the old was squared off. Sounds silly but a big deal in comfort

I only wear my metal ring on special occasions, just too heavy & hits everything I touch. I wear a silicone ring everyday & it is much more comfortable. My advice would be to save your money & don't buy a real expensive ring like all of these jewelry stores try to sell you.

Shotgun wedding? LOL.

I stopped wearing my gold band when I started working construction with stone and roof shingles so it would not get any more scratched up than it was. I never started wearing it again.

If you are working on cars, be careful of the positive battery terminal and a ground. If your ring touches these at the same time your finger could get burned off.

Yup. Told my wife to get the cheapest thing just to get me through the ceremony.

Wore my wedding ring my wedding night and maybe one day on the honeymoon and that was the last I’ve seen of it. My wife got it somewhere I guess. I can’t even wear a watch. Never could.
I had a $20 tungsten ring that got lost on our honeymoon. I told her we could tattoo one on but I wasn't fooling with another.

Seems I may be in the minority, but I have a nice gold ring with five small diamonds in it (very similar to my father's and my father-in-law's rings), and I really like it. I switch it out for a silicone ring when traveling or venturing into the great outdoors so I don't have to worry about getting Jimmy Fallon'ed. I like the shotgun barrel idea, though, and you could switch it out for a silicone ring whenever you're engaging in riskier activities like climbing, construction, fishing, etc.
