Best Eye to Eye cord for Schwabisch

Quick question: Being new to saddle hunting (just got my first saddle!)

I'm planning to utilize a schwabisch hitch on my tether and a RM1 on my lineman belt. I tied a schwabisch hitch was an 8mm eye to eye (Sterling) on a Samson Predator tether and had some slippage. Looking to try another cord and wondering what brand/type has worked well for others.

8mm on Samson Predator (11.4mm) should work great. You have to dress the hitch properly, especially when you first set it up, but then it shouldn't slip at all.

Thanks Dan. In your experience, is sterling a good match? I got a fair bit of slippage but maybe I need to work more on the dressing of the ropes...
