Best place to buy replacement rope?

I have an older set of XOP sticks and I want to remove the original straps and replace them with 8mm accessory cord. I am hoping this makes them a little lighter as well as making them quieter, quicker and easier to pack up after a hunt. I am not a huge fan of the buckles on the original straps. For others that have done this modification where is the best place to buy the rope from and is there a particular brand I should look for or stay away from? I have seen some decent deals on 8mm cord on amazon and ebay but I am not well educated on the cord to know good from bad. I just replaced the heating and water systems in my house so I am trying not to spend a whole lot of money right now. I have a few setups where I use either my treesuit or tree saddle and I am hoping this mod will make it just a little better. Thanks.
