+1 for no pouches on my saddle. Everything goes in backpack, then used. Only thing that stays on there is my lineman’s belt - permanently attached on left hip, daisy chained across butt and clipped to right hip behind me when I’m not using. Tried pouches repeatedly, never could figure out how that made more sense than putting things in a backpack which is coming on the hunt 99% of the time anyway

+1 more. Only thing attached to my saddle is my pull up/rope retrieval cord. Everything else in the pack.

I've tried a couple different ones and I like the Tethered SYS Hauler ES. Right now I only have my lineman's rope and tether in it.

So, prior to climbing the tree, is your lineman's belt in the same pouch as well, or do you not keep it in a pouch until you are tethered in the tree?

I use that same pouch however I had to use zip ties to keep it secure on my saddle. The buttons that mine came with always came unsnapped.

Amazon Tactical Dump pouches for me. I have 2. I used the Tethrd sys haulers and liked them but preferred the ridgedness of the dump pouches
