Best Rope for Bridge?

So, I'm looking at getting some rope for a bridge. I'm going to be tying knots in it until I find a length that works well for me.
Should I be looking at webbing instead or just stick to what I know will work?
Suggestions as to what ropes to look at? Diameter?

really any rope with an MBS of 4000 pounds or greater is good for a bridge, which is also the breaking strength for 1" tubular webbing.

I can't really speak for rope as I've only used webbing bridges, from what I've read {take it for whatever it's worth}" amsteel slides the best, webbing is the middle ground, and rope creates more friction."

Makes sense and sounds reasonable.
I watched a video on how to splice Amsteel last night. I think even I can do it.

Yeah it's not difficult at all, just make sure to test your bridge at ground level first.

I'm more onboard with that than you know.

I don't have experience with anything but Amsteel and I'm glad I went with that for my bridge. I made a whoopie sling so I have been able to tweak the length easily.

I bought some rope from REI so that I can fuss around and get my length figured out. Once I do that, I’ll be buying some Amsteel.

I use webbing also. I got everything for my bridge from @DanO at Eastern Woods Outdoors. I girth hitch both sides and use Dan's heavy duty webbing and sliders.

I use 1/4" amsteel. Easy to splice in loops and slides nice in the bener.
