Bibs and jacket or coveralls?

That's nice to hear, everyone I know who has it loves it, i know it's great stuff, just getting over the cost. I've also looked at the badlands Pyre bibs which seem to be pretty nice, but I'm sure they aren't as nice as the fanatic bibs.

Everyone makes union suits. It just depends on how much you want to spend. I have seen Merino wool, silk, and the cheapest fleece you could imagine.

Not as much anymore, but I used to hunt coyotes everyday from just before Christmas until the end of March, temps from 30 to -10, on and off the snowmobile, sitting, snowshoeing, the best system for me has always been a merino base layer on the skin, and synthetics layered on top of that with a windproof outer layer like the stratus, layers are key, and you just can’t beat bibs for warmth, coveralls are super warm too but limit the movement with swinging a rifle like others have already mentioned, all these different layers make it so easy to adjust and adapt to different temps, once you get a system down makes life easier, it all starts with a bomb proof outer layer like the stratus, once wind hits me I’m done.

Those with the issues with overalls binding...do you guys not belt them? If you belt them with slack above the belt, that eliminates the restrictions

Coveralls are tough to beat as an affordable way to keep warm, for me and why I choose bibs and jacket, I found myself still having to wear some sort of jacket on the way in while the coveralls were strapped to my tree stand, with bibs I usually just strap them to my stand and wear the jacket unzipped or whatever, I have more options, hard to beat a good set of coveralls for warmth however, I never tried a belt, I could see where that would help.

Leoadventures is your friend, do some googling, there has been posts on here about it as well, you will figure out fast why some guys buy new stuff every year.

I ended up breaking down and buying a pair of Sitka stratus bibs this morning. With the 20% off sale and blackovis having a stackable coupon it was tough to pass up. Free shipping and no tax to boot came out to a $99 savings.

I run hot so I think the stratus bibs will be just fine with layering underneath and my fanatic vest.

One other benefit to bibs and coat is there are times when you want to wear only the bibs or only the coat. I find myself often, especially ice fishing, wearing heavy bibs and a light hoodie.

Just got my stratus bibs in the mail from the sale. All I have to say is wow, I've never owned a high quality piece of hunting clothing like this before. I'm excited for it to be cold again so I can really try it out.
