I have the black diamond 5 step etrier and it has 2 loops, a small 3 inch loop and a 10 inch loop. I have gorth hitched the bigger loop with a hook used like the wild edge aider. I’m trying to figure out how I can use the smaller loop? I have thought about tying into it somehow with webbing but that would turn the aider into a difficult position. How would you connect the etrier to the hook?

The loops are smaller than I thought. Smaller one is about 2 inches and the bigger loop is about 6 inches. I want to get rid of the longer loop because it leaves a little more of a step up than I would like. Here’s a picture of the loops and hook

Open the eye of the hook and close it back soak your etier then wrap your etier in leather and tack weld it back closed. If it’s even welded now
