Like my climber, I would put some webbing on the platform for foot holds and a bungy around my heels to secure until I get to hunting height and then place bungy around tree securing platform to tree. That way it can't slide unintentionallyp.
A couple things. You are going to have to readjust the traction belt at least 1 time and Maybe 2 or 3 so you can weld it to your feet but you have to take the cutting torch out every time you must readjust. You can tie the platform off at hunting height but your tied in all the time you can’t fall. I have gotten very comfortable with this but it took a little while. You need to practice at ground level getting off the platform and hanging in your saddle readjust the platform before you try it at height. Maybe it’s not for everybody but for me it’s #1 in my arsenal and worth learning how to climb with.
