Bow hanging suggestions

So I’m new to the saddle hunting and I’m trying to think of all the different ways I can attach my bow to the tree with out screw ins. I have a Hys strap that I’m going to be using. Just haven’t figured out how I’m attaching my bow to it so it’s quick and easy.

Genesis 3d has a bow hanger that attaches to the Hys strap. Another popular options is a hero clip. That’s what I’ve used and been happy with it.

Here’s what I use

took a figure 9 and heated it with a torch, then carefully squeezed the gate closed more and the prong end closed more. The prong end goes over my strap, gated carabiner end is where bow gets clipped

Have you tried the hook without the wire gate? If the bow is just hanging you shouldn't need the gate. I understand it's more secure with the gate in place, just ask yourself, what am I doing up here that might dislodge my bow from such a deep hook?
