The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. Starting in 2020 only SH Members will be admitted to the annual hunting contest. Current members will need to follow these steps to upgrade: 1. Click on your username 2. Click on Account upgrades 3. Choose SH Member and purchase.

Can this be used to make a climbing stick?

I’m sure you could but...
1. 6061 t6 is a lot stronger than 6063 aluminum.
2. Most standoffs are made for 1” tube
3. At that price you could get 6061 cheaper from onlinemetals.com. I bought everything I need for a stick build (tubing and steps) and extras for another project for just over $40 with the 20% off code DCF8 (not sure if it’s still valid).
