Hey guys. Last year was my first year hunting out of a saddle. I've got the aero hunter evo. Generally I carry a pistol on a daily basis but I found it nearly impossible to carry while hunting out of the saddle. Has anyone made anything to carry while saddle hunting? I bend my own kydex so custom stuff isn't a big problem. Let me know your ideas!

Interesting.
I like the looks of that kenai. Might see what I can come up with

I too carry everyday and found it very uncomfortable at four oclock IWB. as normal. So I now carry my single stack in a pager pal "without the pager " just the j hook in my cargo pocket. All my hunting pants and bibs have cargo pockets on the legs. This set up worked for me the last few years.

I've been using a Hill People Gear kit bag https://www.hillpeoplegear.com/Products/CategoryID/1/ProductID/71 . Well made and a great way to carry, will take some practice to get comfortable drawing, but provides for out of the way concealment and storage. I've been full days in the SE woods with it loaded down, carrying a double stack Stoeger Cougar 40 S&W & full spare mag and hardly notice it is there.

I also have a Hill People Gear kit bag. It is great for backpacking too.

+2 on the Hill People Gear kit bag. Plus you can have handy all of the little doo dads you'll need once you get up in the tree (release, bow hooks, gloves, mask, etc) You can actually fit way too much crap in one.

I actually use one of their packs too. They are built to strap stuff on the outside of them. Works great for carrying a set of climbing sticks or your bow.

I have a Quiet Hide chest holster(Closed now) for my contender and a guide's choice for my Super Redhawk and LongSlide 1911

Canadian answer. It is extra weight and illegal to carry a hand gun.

Good question that I have been trying to find a solution for. A chest holster looks like a great option.

I would want one if I lived in the southern US. Gators snakes pigs. And everyone else carries one. So good question

I can get a license but I cannot carry it except from the gun range to home and must keep it locked. I do not have one and really I do not feel I need one. If I hunted in BC or Alberta I might wish I had one for cougars and grizzly bears. Especially when bow hunting.

That said in your country I would own one for the reasons already stated

I think we have restricted hand guns since 1934
