Any recommendations for a cellular based trail cam? I have Verizon for me cell phone service. Only want one to start with, plan would be to leave out year round.

Look at Spypoint Link Mirco. Plans are awesome, and you can do month to month, or yearly. I run them and they are awesome.

I use the MoultrieMobile. They’ve done a very good job for me. Plans are monthly with an app for easy configuration. They’re fairly inexpensive also

Every spypoint i have had has been garbage..i have 2 of their wireless and they were great for about 8 months then couldnt get them to work properly. I had the yearly plan and never got to use the full year. I tried emailing...calling....and messaging through the app and they would not respond. I did all the updates and everything. I finally went on their app and told them i was going to screen shot how many times i messaged them with no response and report it on forums like this and they locked me out of my account...which is crazy because my year wasnt up yet....so they basically robbed me.

I was hesitant to even buy their wireless because i had a bad experience with their tiny d model yhat wasn't wireless. The deal i got just seemed to good to pass up. I wish i would have passed. Now i got some garbage overpriced trail cameras...of they 3 i have only one comes on. My cousin bought 3 and all 3 of his doesnt work either. My friend bought 1 and his works great and he loves it......go figure

I'm in the same boat. Thinking about a cell trail cam to send to Verizon. A buddy suggested Big Foot Trails but I haven't had the chance to look into them fully.

I have 4 of the Bigfoot 3g cams. They have all worked flawlessly for over a year now and they are in the woods all the time with no breaks. My favorite thing about them is the ability to change the size of the pic sent to your cell phone. I choose the full size 16mb size cuz I like the detail. But if you don’t want to use much data you can have it send a small thumbnail. I too bought one SPYPOINT link micro and it’s noticeably worse than my Bigfoot’s. I can never really make out antlers on the pics that get sent to me. Although my SPYPOINT is still actually working in the field. It’s been reliable.

Spartan Go Cameras work great and the app works very well also. Make sure to get the 4G version of any camera since Verizon is supposed to decommission their 3G network in the next year or so.

I agree with the horrible customer support of spypoint and the fact I have never had a sigle camera from them work out of the box for longer than a month. On the other hand I bought 7 covert code blacks over the last 3 years and haven't had a single problem. At my lease we run over 30 coverts with zero issues the last 4 seasons.

I've been running two exodus renders for the past three months and have been happy so far (although the night pic quality is isn't great). I have them set to 8 mp, so that may have something to do with it.
