I just received my Guidos web Friday. Went out in the woods behind the house and put in 4 or 5 screw in steps to get about 8’ in the air. First off I am going to LOVE this thing. I will be doing pre sets with screw ins or steps on family land. Was thinking sticks with Aiders but I want to go with Spurs for Run and Gun. What are my options for “cheaper” aluminum Spurs? Also, what is your all’s opinion on a lineman’s belt to get? Thanks in advance. Love this place already!

Welcome to the site. I’m not sure about cheaper but get climb rite spurs you won’t be disappointed look at the recent tread about spur to show how to mod them to work better for saddle hunting.
Unless you hunt a lot of private you will get more use of sticks here in TN
Look in to bolts for presets.

Definitely get a separate lineman belt if you are using the web. Then you can let the web hang down as you climb. If you try and use the loops provided on the web, it will pull the seat into you as you climb and be in the way.

That makes sense. I didn’t think of that but I see how it would pull the seat.

I shortened the whale tail and now, the seat nor the tail is in the way.
TIP.....
When use a lineman's belt, pull the lumbar straps as tight as you can. This will eliminate any back stress and discomfort to lower back as you climb with spurs.
TIP.....
I went to 10 mm rope for tether and lineman's belt. You will appreciate this tip.

Did you just set both ropes up the same?

The lineman's belt--
Has a ropeman 1 with carabiner and is tied in on my web by use of a overhand knot on a bite. The bite is pushed through the loop (where the lineman is attached) on the web, then the other end of rope is slid through the bite end and pulled tight to the web. This way you only need one carabiner for the lineman.

The teather-
Also has an over hand knot with a bite. I hook the carabiner through the bite. Then rap the carabiner around tree and the clip back to rope. I hoop my bridge (the one that comes with the web) to a self braking rappel decinding device (if you don't rappel, a ropeman 1 with a carabiner works fine)
