Anyone ever tried a continuous loop w/locked Brummel for your pruisics? I would like to get rid of that big knot on all my pruisics to make them lighter/shorter/less bulky

I'm assuming you're talking about using amsteel. In my opinion it is too slippery and not meant to take a shock load in case you fall on your climb.

What he said :) Experimenting with hammock stuff I had the same thought, hate the big knots. They do make great loops though!
 
What about that single braid nylon lie WE uses on steps. That stuff is awesome to splice
