Cranford vs...

Hey fellas, I've never used Cranford screw ins. I've used Gorillas (go in easy, kinda heavy, a little bulky), and I've used Ameristeps (mostly just suck if you're driving them strictly by hand). My interest in the Cranford is mostly because they can be folded to be more compact and I figure they go in as easily as the Gorilla (or the Hawk version now available). I'm using them to go in, set up, hunt, pull my steps, and head out. If I'm going to hunt the spot a lot, I just use bolts and leave them till I'm done for the season. Anybody have any info on how the Cranford compares to the Gorilla?
Thanks!

A cranford is easy to screw in and except for the rod steps they are easier to get the step close to the tree which is safer
I have used gorilla steps and IMO Crawford’s are better

No screw in compares to cranfords. They should be offered as an alternative to the worthless toy in a Happy Meal at McDonalds. They should be included in every military issue survival kit and you sir should go get some and use them because you can!!!!

My dad and I have been using screw ins for decades, and collectively have used most brands. You can tell the difference between most steps after just one for sure, but you do a trees worth of steps, (with no drilling) and I'd walk miles for a sack full of Cranfords!

Any one in particular, or just any Cranford?

I like the double folds for the compactness, If that's a concern .

My father and I are fans of the ezy steps. Just the screw folds. He uses them on all his trees now, I use them if I have a tree I want to set up quickly.
