What do you think of these two slings?
Do you think they are suitable as a security backup?

And if some one realizes a saddle to be applied by with some textile loops to one of these two slings?

I mean something like this protection but in cordura or similar textile with high tenacity and adding to it all
that is needed from a reale saddle for hunt!

Is it a bad idea or maybe it could also work?

You are the experts, and you know the right answer.
I'm just waiting for good advices.

I need a saddle ...
I can't spend a fortune (or my wife kills me) ...:astonished:
But I don't even want her to be a widow because I am
squashed down from a tree :tonguewink:

Best Regards

Dino

For not much more than the second harness you could get a Treehopper Recon Sling.

Ok let's fly over the cost of the harnesses ...
since here they practically cost half that of you.
PETZL Superavanti : USA $ 109.95, ITA € 56.81 shipped.
PETZL Fractio : USA $ 120.00, ITA € 72.37 shipped.

I certainly don't find the "Treehopper Recon Sling" in Italy and in the end I would
definitely go to spend more than that which costs you in the USA.

Obviously the two eyelets for anchoring the bridge must also be made for the pseudo saddle.
The belt with soft accessories for rope pockets and various accessories.

Ah. Didn't realize you were in Italy. That obviously changes things due to shipping.

So I was thinking about this. I haven't done it, but a lot of people swear by a fleece saddle backed up with a rock climbing harness.

Do a search of the site for "fleece saddle" and you will come up with all kinds of results. Pro-tip, use Google to search the site by just adding site:saddlehunter.com rather than the built in search feature. Google search is a lot better.

You definitely need to use a rock climbing harness for safety, but all you need is some fleece and climbing rope.

What part of Italy are you in? Just curious since my mother's side is Napolitano.

ABC Guide harness is way cheaper than the ones you linked. I sewed tubular webing to mine to make linemans loops. Webing wraps around the belt part.
