Crossbow hunting question

Getting into saddle hunting and have my sticks (heliums) and carrying method (backpack) sorted out.
But with me using a crossbow, does anyone have a good way of carrying that in, can't go strapped to my pack, that's where my sticks are.
My current sling is to use it over my shoulder, but my pack will be in the way. Carrying it by hand works.... but is annoying.
Anyone able to suggest other options?

Thanks!!!

Rig your sticks "low" on your pack horizontally, then rig your xbow higher with the bow in back of your head and the stock hanging "over" your sticks. You may want to "sock" the buttstock part of your xbow to keep it quiet against your sticks. Bungee it up tight man!!!

You won't be ready to shoot anything on your stalk in to your stand set up that way though!!!!

I alternate shoulder and hands as necessary.

On shoulder with pack it sits off to the side a little. Not sure what pack you have.

I will try to test mine and post pics this weekend, but I have a Gameplan Gear xbow case with built in shoulder straps. I wanted to test attaching my sticks on the outside of it to carry everything in this fall.
