Ok, so I did a quick search and didn't really find anything on here in regards to arrow builders. I had a "local" pro shop build my last set of arrows, which they did an awesome job, however me being me, I want to explore my options. What or who are your yalls recommendations for having a custom set of arrows built? What Im looking for is Easton Axis 5mm, 300 Spine, 75gr brass HIT with some wraps and fletching of a color in my choice. Opinions on builders?

Almost my exact setup. Just get some of the basics & do it yourself. I get my bareshafts from Lancaster archery, they cut to length & you can save on an arrow saw. Plenty of YouTube on how to……. Dudley has a good one! Some good threads here to if you go down that path.

I shot this set up last year also minus about 50gr from the insert. I guess i should have said I am interested in having them spine indexed and squared end to end...not somehting I am really comfy with, nor have the skill set to do. I have fletched my own before with fine results...just curious about the rest you know. Thanks though...and I dont think anyone has any 5mm Axis in 300 in stock right now. I have only done a quick look , nothing in depth.

South Shore would be my first choice if I was to order. They will cut and spine Aline if you want. However, you can get everything you for arrow building fairly cheap. It’s a huge money saver in the long run and makes tinkering possible. DIY arrow saws or harbor freight are affordable. A fletching jig, arrow square, arrow spinner and glue is about all you need.

All of that can be done DIY - there are several methods to get a rough spine index... can flex arrow over your thigh and roll and get a rough idea of the stiffer sides on each arrow. Also putting a nock in each end and float it in water - heavier (and in theory stiffer) side will sink (though this is more or less just indexing all the arrows vs actually spine testing them). You can also sometimes see a black line down the inside of a carbon arrow shaft that sometimes relates to the stiffer side.
As far as squaring the arrows, 3D printers are wonderful, and jigs can be found all over eBay and such for relatively cheap. I managed to find a cheap(er) Weston arrow saw on Craigslist locally, but as others mentioned, most reputable archery stores can at least cut arrows to length for you. Find some wraps if you go that route. I use one of the Arizona EZ Fletches for a 3 vane right helical that seemingly works well enough with AAE Max hunters. Get an arrow spinner to ensure all inserts and such spin true. Think it was SUPER enjoyable to make my own arrows and even better putting them to use.

Shooting Black Eagle X-impact 250s (cut to ~29.5") with 180gr of Ethics stainless insert/outsert and 125gr Iron Wills and/or Cutthroats at about 630gr total arrow weight.

is where I got my arrows this spring, they did a good job on my gt hunter xts, at pretty much the same price I'd have paid for stock arrows

I don’t have a recommendation. But if whomever you chose to build your arrows doesn’t square both ends properly, nock tune them to your bow(they can’t), then you have the skills to build the arrows the same way they would.

So if you’re ok with this level of QC, then order fletched shafts cut to length from Lancaster or your local pro shop. Buy a bottle of whatever glue you want and stick inserts in. Same difference.

I don’t see how anyone who intends to be really accurate past 30-40 yards, doesn’t build their own arrows. You can have the best form in the world, and a well tuned bow. But if your arrows oscillate in flight to a large degree, and aren’t all the exact same spine in relation to the bow/release, your groups will open up at 40/50 yards with sloppy arrows. You’ll think it’s you, or a bad day, or stress, or fatigue. Some of it will be. But it’s pretty amazing how repeatable you can be when your equipment is tight.

I’ve had Den Bows Arrows (drturi on archery talk) build arrows for me for years. He builds many brands. I’ve never had an issue with his arrows and they’ve all flown true. He lets you pick vanes you want, colors etc. Last time I had arrows built it was $135 shipped for a dozen 250gr Black Eagle Carnivores. Here’s a bit of his process:
