Has anyone used @DanO webbing from Doublesteps.com to hang gear like @g2outdoors did in his youtube video? I have seen threads about using the daisy chain woven webbing on sticks just wondering if it would serve the same purpose as the one he sewed together himself to hang bow and gear. I imagine it is strong enough lol just want to know if the loops are sewn all the way around, spacing, loop opening size etc...
 
I haven't used it yet but plan to this fall. Loops are continuous and are 2.5". Plan to girth hitch it to the tree and hang my pack from a carabiner to secure it. Then will use a HeroClip/Clipter for my weapon holder. For individual gear holders,the kydex molle j-hooks that @Dkiss103 makes will work well to hang grunt calls, binos, etc. I sell the j-hooks for him now but can hardly keep them in stock. More on the way I'm told. You could also use S-biners like @g2outdoors did.
 
Seems like G2's version had extra slack in one side (the away-from-tree side) to make the loops hold open while it was tightened around a tree. Maybe I'm mis-remembering. The woven stuff isn't quite the same - it's the same length on either side of the loop, so if you just pull it straight or tighten around a tree, there's not a loose loop exposed - both sides tighten up equally.

I still think it'll work, just won't look like a... well, like a shotgun shell holder wrapped around the tree (i.e. one side tight to the tree, one side kinda floppy so you can easily hang stuff on it.

Personally, I'm thinking hard about testing it as a tether and gear hanger combo.

@DanO Just snagged a bunch of those J hooks, what is the weight rating on them? I want to connect them to my saddle and use them to carry sticks up, would one clip hold 2 sticks? Beast sticks or the new Heliums? Also any idea when that webbing may be back in stock?

They easily hold sticks without a problem, but if you put two on one, you're sticks will be clanking together. Most use one on each side or possibly one in the back too for a total of 3 on your saddle. Haven't done official weight rating - maybe @Dkiss103 has.

Hey greg, I had a question about your setup. Which i guess by the sounds of it will be available soon for purchase. My current setup is when im looking at the tree my bow is at 9:00 to my left and my backpack is at 3:00 to the right. Im currently using a cinch type strap which holds them tight. Im curious how the webbing strap would do with that type of force pulling down equally and directly across from eachother. Thinking of how one takes their pants off by putting their hands at the hips and pushing down. Leave it to a saddle hunter to put that much thought into it lol

I hung my fully loaded pack which was about 30lbs. Clip barely bent. I haven't done a torture test on them, but they can handle more weight then you would ideally hang from it in a hunting situation
 
You will never notice the weight of those J hooks unless you somehow manage to put 2,487 of them on your person.
 
Guess that cat slipped out of the bag before intended.
