Going to make a custom backpack so I can customize it to my liking. What materials are you guys using that’s durable and quiet and light weight? I’ll most likely take straps and hip belt off another pack and build the rest.

I use cordura exclusively for backpacks. Not the quietest but i do not find it to be too loud.

I have used cordura and fleece together on pouches so you could also make a pack like that. I ordered the same camo in both and used the fleece for the parts that I will be manipulating in the stand(so that it's quiet) and cordura for the areas that have attachments that need to be a little stronger. Good luck.

I just used a drawstring for the top but you try a different style of closure for the top of a bag. My dad used to use nothing but a fleece pack to hunt with. I still have it after he used it for 20 years.
