My first attempt of making climbing sticks. Aluminum square tube 30X30mm, steps are 10mm thick aluminium, and brackets are 3mm steel.
Sticks are 2 pound /each and platform is 3.5 pounds
step to step 20''
Climb up to 20 ft with 3 sticks (+ 2 step aiders each)
The platform is made out of marine plywood + fiberglass - epoxy laminate and aluminium tube reinforcement (underneath). /the tube is 1'' aluminium and the brackets are made out of 3mm steel.

P.S. Many thanx to DIY sportsman for inspiration and helpfull instructions.

I think those look really nice! Good for you!! @Bwhana and I are working on our own DIY stuff as well. Takes a little time and patience, but certainly rewarding.

If you don't mind, curious how much $ you put into making each step? What type of aider are you using with your sticks?

Thanx for your kind words. Well the cost for each stick is about 15$. Ii use is a 2 step aider made from 30mm. webbing (2.000 pounds B.L.) and for steps i use 8mm static rope wrapped with paracord. The aider is made exactly as DIY Sportsman did it at his video.

Very Nice. I noticed the difference in cleats/stand offs from the sticks to the platform. Was there a particular reason you did this or ?. I built some platforms and did that myself because I found the platform needed to be closer to prevent side shifting. I haven't tried making sticks yet. I'm definitely interested though. Keep up the great work.

Hi Slo Mo and thanx. You are right. I use different brackets for sticks and platform. The reason is the more clearance i want for the sticks and for the platform i want it to be closer to the tree.

Like the idea of the glass laminate for the platform. Going to have to mess with some. Great idea! Love the ingenuity on this site.
