First hunt with the new set up.

Sit drag with RCH as backup, fleece backband. A small and cheap deer stand from Craigslist modded for a platform, and cut down Hawk Helium’s.

Lessons learned, need suspenders for RCH so it doesn’t fall while walking in, still need to do the aider for the sticks.

Pretty happy though!

What tether is that? I use a black diamond rch and it tightens well and never falls down

Teacher is Samson predator rope, works well. RCH is just a generic I found on amazon.

I’ll have to look at that rope for my next. I use the black diamond bod harness and bought a five step aider from black diamond. I can reach 25’ on three sticks and it packs really small.

The black diamond bod is pretty adjustable. I have a 38” waist and it still has about 4-5” of extra that could be used

Yeah it may be more comfortable. With that being said, I may just build a mantis replica as well. For this season, I’m sticking with the sit drag and the RCH.

Just an old tree stand that I took the seat off of. I used two steps from my helium cut down to add more “bite” on the tree. Works well. And cost $15.
