The great thing about saddle hunting so far is it’s giving me a lot to tinker with before turkey season. I made some diy sticks and on average I can get the top of my 20” stick at 7.5 foot... so I’m making up a movable aider. My plan is two sticks with aiders to get roughly 16 foot then step up to my predator and be 17 /18 feet. I have also thought about making a one step aider for my predator post if I need that extra little bit. My daughter had a sewing machine and I ordered some thread and needles and a quick lesson from her I was good to go... I have to make some changes to my design but I’m happy with the progress.
