Does ozone negate a thermacell?

Decided I need a thermacell for this early season. I'm questioning whether my ozone generator (I hang a OZ400b above me in the tree) will negate the thermacell's effectiveness as a mosquito repellent. Your thoughts are appreciated!

Try it and find out.
I would doubt it though.
Ozone kills bacteria’s where thermacell is a chemical. I can’t see ozone itself dissolving the thermacell

Yes a synthetic pyrethroid. Very low Ld 50 to humans. Or very safe

I never knew that. I use permethrin on my clothes but of course that doesn’t keep skeeters away

YES IT DOES!!!!!!!
I run long sleeve synthetic warm weather base layers now SPECIFICALLY because I can coat them in permethrin and keep the skeeters off of me. I soak my clothes in a HEAVY soaking of permethrin and the skeeters can’t stand it. The only place I get bit is exposed skin. If I have treated gloves, I don’t get hit at all. Every ounce of my system gets treated with Martins Permethrin at the beginning of the season. I also treat in February, and again in May. If I do a lot of summer scouting, I will add a July treatment as well. There can’t be enough permethrin on my clothes.

Mosquitos or permethrin. Which is more harmful. For me it is a no brainer.

Permethrin has minimal known harmful effects. Mosquitos can kill people occasionally

If you want a cheap way that you can do clothes multiple times go to tractor supply and buy a WATER based permethrin solution. You have to cut it with water to get it to the
.05 for clothing treatment but you can get a big bottle for right about $30. Theres formulas online to cut it (If i remember correctly i think it 1.5-2.0 oz per gallon of water). I bought it 2yrs ago and still have 1/4 o it left. Way cheaper than $20 for a can that treats 1 set of clothes.

Not to be cheeky, but if the ozone was killing your scent I'd think it would be killing most of the chemicals that skeeters pick up on to find you. I think they primarily target folks by "smelling" scent and CO2?

I don't think an open air ozone unit would destroy permethrin fast enough to keep it from being effective, but it's an easy field test!

Ya, I run the 10% concentrate and dilute with water to 0.8-1.0%
