Well after years of not having to use moisturizer on my face, my skin has taken a turn to the dry side. The area around my eyes, (eye lids, eye brows, bottom of eyes and corner of eyes) have become dry and cracked and in order to be effective I have t use lotion two or three times a day. Hunting season is just around the corner and I need to find lotion that I can use around my eyes in order to use while deer hunting. If I don't have lotion then my eyes itch incessantly which makes it quite difficult to shoot.

So, does anyone have any lotion that they use around their eyes that the deer does not detect...to their knowledge and experience?

I’ve got eczema pretty bad. And use Aveeno. It’s oat based and doesn’t have any scent added. Cerrave also doesn’t have any scent added. I use it all the time archery elk hunting.

Cool...My wife swears by cerrave and I've had to start using that. I was looking at dirt scented lotion but did not know if I wanted that around my eyes...especially in the early season and sweat from my face getting into my eyes. The Cerrave does not irritate my eyes when I sweat. Thanks.

Go to your local Rite Aid, CVS or Walgreens and ask for hypoalergenic, non scent lotion. They should have some and definitely don't use some stinky lotion and attempt to play the wind for it. No reason to add to your issues.

I use Working Hands for trapping and for hunting even on my face. It has no scent. The wind blows like constantly around here during the entire hunting season and a little goes a long way with this stuff. You can get it at most building supply stores.

I posted this on archerytalk and here is what was recommended. I got to tell you, I liked what I read and ordered two containers of the honey based cream. Within 2 days of getting it and applying this on my face is amazing. The dry, cracked, irritated and itchy skin is smooth as butta!! I apply this at night time after a shower and sleep with it on the irrated section...and in the morning my skin is smooth.

"Best thing I ever used is Atsko Pro-Tech-Skin. http://www.atsko.com/skin-protection/

I use in on my hands, especially in the winter. I do a lot outside in the winter - fishing etc. I use to get those cracks on my finger tips next to the nail. The slightest touch and they really hurt. If I put some on my hands Pro-Tech-Skin each night I NEVER get them. NEVER. I noticed it even makes your skin kind of water proof. I use it on my face too. It really helps against the cold/sun/wind.

This is what Atsko says about it:

Pro-Tech-Skin has no perfume, protein, or vitamins. We do not claim that Pro-Tech-Skin heals your skin. However, by protecting it from further damage and retaining natural moisture, it will enable your skin to heal itself.

Your hands will look healthier immediately and continue to improve as natural healing occurs. You be the judge. Pro-Tech-Skin uses natural, unbleached beeswax to protect skin from dehydration, washing, and friction. If your hands and feet are dry, red, raw, chapped, cracked, blistered, or callused, use Pro-Tech-Skin.

Apply to hands, face, feet, knees, elbows, and lips. Only a light application is necessary because Pro-Tech-Skin contains no water, only ingredients that resist the harmful effects of washing and abrasion. First, wash and dry the area. Then immediately apply Pro-Tech-Skin.

Apply before exposure to grease, dirt, glue, paint, or other toxic chemicals your skin is exposed to on a daily basis. It will protect your skin the same way Sno-Seal protects your leather."
