Etrier Steps for sole climbing method???

Is anyone using just Etrier Steps to get up the tree?
I currently use modified Hawk Helium Sticks with an extra rope step on the bottom of each step. I really like this set up but I am always trying to go in lighter...
Wondering what thoughts are on Pros and Cons of going to just etrier steps
 
Look up “v method” on saddle hunter FB, he uses a Yates big wall ladder. I use this method and love it, under 2 lbs of gear used to climb. I use a 2” strap like noxninja tho with the YBW.
 
I’ve done this copying noxninja’s video. Pros are it’s very lightweight. Con is it takes a lot more time and effort, you better have a strong core and be in good shape. Also because of the dexterity needed, I’d reserve this method for warm weather only, make sure to try this with bulky cold weather clothing before you take it to the field. ;)
