I’m 60 years old and have been bow hunting for 45 years. I bought my first saddle late season 2020 after archery season was over in Tennessee so I gun hunted out of the saddle the rest of the season and learned a lot but I hadn’t even shot a bow from the saddle until yesterday when I thought I should start practicing. I was very pleased with my accuracy and having not even had a bow in my hands for 3 months drawing my bow was very easy from the saddle. It felt 5 lbs lighter than normal. I just thought some of you guys thinking of taking the plunge might like to hear this comment.

I have everything ready to go. Its supposed to be in the 60's here in PA this week so I hope to get out and practice setting up. I am interested to shoot from the saddle for the first time to see what its like. Been in the basement practicing rotating and drawing the bow etc but have not shot an arrow yet

My first saddle might get here by next weekend.
I can't wait to start shooting my bow from it.
I made a fleece saddle about a week ago and I've monkeyed around in it some but not with my bow in hand...

Very important to shoot at the height you will hunt from.
If you can, mount a 3-D deer on wheels, and move it around the tree for the different shot angles and distances
you will encounter.
