I hunt central Missouri, his gross score was 159 3/8. I set an observation stand the evening before. After watching multiple deer bypass the greens to get to the producing white oaks, I had my game plan for the following evening. Wind was uncommon east so I walked until I found a productive white oak with a suitable tree on the west side. I was approximately 3/4 mile from the truck when I found the sign I wanted. Set up at 4:30 and didn’t see a deer until this guy skirted the edge of thick bedding headed towards the oaks. I spotted him at 6:45 walking parallel straight behind me and it happened fast. I knew if he kept on that track he would probably wind me so I grabbed my bow and swung in one motion. After bracing myself I drew and hit the mark at 30 yards. He went 40 yards Into the bordering pasture and expired. I just can’t describe the emotions and happiness felt.
