After using climbers and lock ons exclusively for the last few years, I decided to buy a mantis this year since it seemed like he best of both worlds. I guess you could say it’s been a slow year of hunting for me this year as this is my 4th hunt of the season. Since I got my saddle October 1st I have shot 4 arrows out of it (slacking in the practice department). Tonight I had doe come in eating acorns at 35 yards slightly quartering away and my fmj’s tipped with 2 blade Chinadermics did the trick. Ran about 85 yards before piling up. She ducked on the shot so entrance is a little higher than I’d like but arrow went right into opposite shoulder.
