First off want to thank all the guys at Tethrd for doing the giveaway a few months ago that is allowing me to finally join the saddle community. I have always been impressed with the knowledge and DIY capability of this site. Been lurking with very few posts for a while.

Just got my Mantis saddle in the mail last night. With it being opening day here in Michigan I hunted the morning in my lone wolf alpha thinking about how nice it was going to be not to hang a stand. Around 1630 I got the saddle in the mail and headed out for an evening sit.

Literally the first time I put the mantis on I climbed a tree and was hunting. My expectations were high and they were exceeded. Very comfortable and easy to use.

I ordered a couple silent approach steps to put on either side of my lone wolf sticks and will probably test out a platform of some type later in the year.

Hoping to stick around and contribute to this awesome site.

awesome man! Couldn't imagine my first saddle sit during a hunt though. Did you have experience with saddles? I was real clunky starting out haha

Awesome, I like the double sticks at the top. I was going to mention the same thing on the binder. IF you dont have a locker in the mean time, use a second non locker opposite and opposed(so when you squeeze them both at the same time from the sides to open, the gates create an "x")

I dig the orange boots too!

No saddle experience but have been using my sticks with a lone wolf stand and rock harness so when I was done climbing I just had to clip my tether into my bridge and I was done instead of having to hang a stand.
