Thought I’d introduce myself!

I was introduced to the sitdrag when I was researching a drawn hunt that I got last year so I bought one. The youtube rabbithole eventually lead me to all kinds or saddle information so here I am! I’ve been lurking for quite a while but figured its time to post.

Little by little I’m sewing a waistbelt into the sitdrag. I think I’ve decided on WE steps and an aider for climbing and platform. Can’t wait to get out there and try the whole system together!

Thanks guys. I only hunt public land so I’m really looking forward to not hauling my 35 lb climber a mile in figjting bushes the whole way.

Where do you do most of your hunting?

Sam Houston National Forest. I’ve taken a buck 3 out of 5 seasons out there. After 2 good years in my last spot the mob apprently found my honey hole. Had 5 or more people walk right past me on openig day last year. I guess more and more people are figuring out that you have to get way back in there to see something, which means I gotta get even further out there.

My drawn hunt last year was Aransas National Refuge. Came up empty handed. The success rate was 10%. Really tough but enjoyed it a lot.
