Making a fleece saddle and trying to decide on a bridge. I want to use webbing with trislides for adjustment, but not sure if I should make continuous loops of either 7/64 or 1/4 amsteel to attach the bridge to or just attach the bridge to the fleece. Any thoughts?

I'm confused as to what is going on here. Look through the fleece saddle DIY posts on here. I believe your ends should be bunched like a hammock unless there's a new way of tying the ends. There are several ways to accomplish the bunched ends. Then you just attach a bridge as you see fit. I use 7/64" Amsteel for my bunched ends to attach my climbing webbing bridge to, it digs into the fleece really well.

I’m trying a sewn channel on the ends. My other saddle has the hammock style knots and I’m trying something new to get rid of the bulk. I used 4 seams across and it’s held so far. I’m backed up with a harness obviously

Gotcha! That's what I do too. Use whatever you want on the sewn channel. I have even used scrap fleece to get your bunch. I tie a square knot on top and one on the bottom as I wrap the string, paracord, etc. I then use 7/64" continuous loop Amsteel with DaveT's locked girth hitch on the ends to attach my bridge.

Nevermind, I follow what you're doing now. I think any of the 3 options would be fine. If you're going with less bulk then the 7/64"? I'm a bigger guy and definitely wouldn't want to hang without a bunched end of some sort though.

Personally i would recommend an all amsteel bridge tied directly to the fleece as demonstrated in other videos. I highly recommend a RCH combo. I had DanO sew me one up with seams. I used paracord to bunch these ends and then attached it to amsteel with modified girth hitches. It is rock solid and pretty comfy. I still prefer using my Tether'd Mantis but would have no problem sitting all day in my fleece saddle. All at my own risk.
