Has anyone tried to make a fleece-type saddle out of a 2' x 3' nylon mesh laundry bag, or a hunting/camo Under Armor shirt ? Actually both work very well and are very comfortable. Both are flexible materials so they stretch when you put your weight into them. This seems to decrease the pinch points around the leg ball joint bones, maybe because of weight distribution. I've found the Under Armor shirt to be more comfortable, but may be warm for early season. Make sure to secure the ends with an overhand knot to provide a stop for the two ropes at the ends. The nylon mesh laundry bags can be purchased at a dollar store, then dyed brown. A hunting/camo Under Armor shirt you may already have. The one I use is a long sleeve turtle neck. Very stretchable.
