FOBs / Glow in dark arrows

Hey all,

I am thinking of making a leap over to try FOBs instead of fletchings. I read many reviews and blogs on it and a lot of what I am hearing is you have to have a drop away rest, fobs pop off during pass through, and fob may touch your cheek which would require you to relook at your anchor point.

I’m primarily hunting in an urban archery program where you can not lose anything in the woods (nocks, FOBs, arrows, broadheads, etc.). Which got me thinking... how could I make my arrow fluorescent without adding a ton of extra weight? I know there are wraps out there but I’d prefer not to go down that path. I also understand that in a event of a pass through your arrow should be very easy to locate. However, I’d still love to have some way to easily spot it.

I was thinking of buying a glow in a dark marker and giving that a try but wanted to see if the community had any other ideas.

Love to hear folks thoughts on Fobs and making arrows visible.

Thanks,
Derek

I know you mentioned not using wraps, but I buy 3M reflective vinyl sticky back and cut it myself to make a wrap. They look like a road sign when you turn on a flashlight. They will come off if you need to re-fletch but stay on really great for me.

I do the same. They work great. Flashlight at night and I guarantee you'll find your arrow. The fobs pop off though and are hard to find when you shoot a deer though.

Could you add those to a finished arrow after you've already fletched it? What's the process for attaching?

I imagine the weight penalty is almost nothing right?
