I use a ratchet strap with 6 bullman outdoors steps as a platform. Love it but I hated strattling the tree so deep. So I got a simple 1" continous adjustable strap positioned right below my knees. It keeps my body off the tree and causes my upper body to kinda lean into the tree. Very comfortable. Just wondering if any of you have tried this

Yep, someone recently connected a strap between his knees to do what your talking about. Pretty neat

so the strap is around your leg below your knee? haven't heard of anyone doing it this way but its simple and im gonna try it.

Some have done this using there linesmans rope.

I use to carry a strap just for this. it worked really well.

Show us some pictures of this if you would. Could be a great idea for some people.

I would love to see what you are talking about.
For some reason my phone won't let me post a pic. This only works for sitters. Just tie a strap, rope or anything just under both knees at top of shin. The length between legs can be adjusted according to the tree diameter. For me it's more comfortable this way. It puts a little pressure on inside of knees but that can be remedied by using a pad or knee pads. Hope this helps yall.
