This is something I’ll be trying this season, and I’m sure it’s been done here before. Harbor freight has these rope tightener clips for about 5 bucks. Pair that with a $1 piece of paracord (30 feet), some cheap carabiners and a jumbo carabiner. I added a piece of kydex I had with blacktape, that way I could roll my rope up on the hanger.
I’ll keep this hanging from the front of my pack since I climb with my pack on.
When I’m at the tree I’ll unroll my cord and attach to my bow. It’ll hang loose while I’m climbing.
I’ll tighten the cord around the tree at height. This thing will get tighter than you could ever need and holds rock solid. I tied loops every 5-6 inches for the first few feet so that carabiners can be clipped on and hang extra gear.
For a bow hanger I took the jumbo carabiner and cut the gate off. I taped a small carabiner to the top to hang it more securely and the rubber grip is a soft quiet place to hang the bow.
Here it is set up with a pack and bow, the rest of the rope is either rolled up or just left hangin.
