So Came across a singer 15-91, for cheap... but it didnt sew.... that was this morning... A few downloads and videos and I worked on the machine all day and now I have it sewing stuff quite well with good stitches usin #69 size thread so Im a happy camper !!
You can see these samples, the small is tube climbing strap trippled... i kept messing with tension, and finally got nice tight stitches...
Opinions ?

Very nice. I have been using the same machine. Once you find the correct bobbin and thread tension they sew some beautiful
stitches. Just a slight tweak on the dial for different material thicknesses is all that is needed. Reverse is a nice feature on those older machines too. If you can fit the material under the presser foot, it will sew it.

Nice find and looks like it does a good job sewing. Scouring craigslist for a gem like that for myself.
Good luck injecting!

I love my singers, they stitch really nicely when set up and cleaned and lubed, looks real nice, happy stitching, regards wayne

I need a new bobbin case but its on way, I think it will help get it perfect... Im still playing before I make something

I've found a few 15-91's from $75 to $220, all come with the sewing table. The most expensive one looks brand new and comes with a bunch of accessories and spare parts.

If you guys are looking watch the Facebook marketplace. I watch older commercial sewing machines go from time to time for 1-200$ yes commercial ones

Nice find. I have the exact same one. I cant remember what I paid but I believe it was in the ball park of 20-40 and I came with all original manuals and a huge assortment of accessory feet that I have no idea how to use. I've made 2 really nice saddles so far along with numerous pouches

Picked up a 15-91 today! Serial# dates back to 1951. Needs a good cleaning but in great shape overall. Paid $40 with table it folds into.
