Well, I was 2T/Cing when I spotted a doe coming my way, She was 40 yards out and coming fast. I was about 12 feet up bow was on the ground. I pulled it up and nocked an arrow quickly. I was just hanging with my foot still in the second tether. I took a shot when she was just about 10 yards as she stopped for just a second. Thought I made a good shot but after looking over the arrow it had fat on it. Blood trail went dead. I looked for two days with no luck. I feel really bad about taking that shot. I should have just let her pass.

Where do you think you hit her at? Brisket or low below the rib cage? Arrow does look pretty good from the picture. Can you replicate your position while in the back yard and take the shot again to get a better idea of what went wrong?

I believe I hit low rib I keep replying the shot over and over. I feel bad because, I rushed the shot. I did try to replicate the same shot and was dead on on my target. I only have two seasons in my saddle hunting adventures but have been practicing every chance I get not only climbing but shooting at hight.

making a mistake is human. making the same mistake twice is .....

hair at impact sight can be a huge tell. brisket hits (white hair) is not fatal IMO

May have dropped your bow arm trying to peak. I know I have done that a time or three.
