during a lunchtime scouting session on Sat found a scrape and actually jumped two bucks and five does. they weren't real scared. scouted my way in today and set up in a hackberry tree only to find that I misguessed scrape location.... dang near sitting right on it.... and there were zero shooting lanes when I got to height. so I pulled out the saw and made a few..... way to much noise and 3 hours from time I left truck to set up. I stalked for 2 hours through dry leaves, thorns and plum thickets.... using every small breeze to cover approach. I didn't spook a dang thing. only to have to pull our tree saw and make a rachet....... such is hunting..... maybe a stupid, deaf buck lives close :)
