Has anyone tried putting the new Scout Platform on a Hawk Helium stick? I just picked up the new 20'' Heliums and would love to hear what others think.

Where did you get the 20” Heliums?

Didn’t think they were available until JUN/JUL.

I think with some DIY ingenuity and a saw you could mount it. If you wait long enuff, maybe someone will come up with a jig-or document your job for others
I'll tell you this, on my 20" EWO stick, that scout is rock solid, hard side pressure and all. With the helium standoffs, you should be good to go!
 
[mention]DanO [/mention] has a helium version too now. Matt at OOAL is trying hard not to leave anyone out. I have a scout with mini shikar coming and a solo scout. I think it will work great on any stick. Especially if you are a leaner most of the time.

Just change the style option to Hawk Helium.
 
I have one mounted.. haven't gotten to climb with it yet (I'm planning to one-stick).

The fit was just fine, but you'll need some longer bolts than are already on your helium. I removed the top steps and replaced them with the scout - the steps are hardly necessary there anymore and it saves a little weight.

New bolts have arrived and are included now.

It doesn't look like my order is fulfilled yet, and I wont be charged until they ship. Says it wont ship until June. Maybe they are trying to lock in orders, kind of like pre orders? I don't care as long as I get them for $109.99.

Same here. I wonder if they will honor these pre-orders. I've read some reviews that discusses Mack PW shenanigans when it come to fulfilling orders. There is also a disclaimer discussing "handling" fee for oversized items.

Well, I haven’t had any issues with them in the past. Although I could be wrong, I suspect everything will be fine. We shall see!

They were on the site for less than 24 hours for like 99 bucks.

I got them to sell me them for 99 and add the 15 buck discount code to it. WIN

I also ordered some, shall see what happens. The only other site I see besides Mack’s & Hawk,is Midway USA & they are $149.. ouch!

I put the OOAL on a muddy pro with an ultra light double step w/Aider cutouts from DanO as the bottom step.

I don’t have any experience saddle hunting yet, but this setup seems to be solid and somewhat comfortable for how simple it is. I live in the woods, and have been testing stuff for the upcoming season...
