Just wanted to say hello from upstate sc. I'm new to this site and have already been impressed by the great info everyone shares here. I look forward to a lot more discussion of all things relevant to new favorite hunting style- the saddle. I cautiously toe-tested the saddle hunting water last season by hunting succesfully and mostly enjoyably from a regular climbing saddle (because of the cost of an Aero Evolution) before I finally decided to purchase the Evolution last week. It should be here in a few days.
It is gonna be a great year
Thanks

Looking into moveing out of nj FAST! Was looking into sc. Whats good places to look? Hows hunting? Are deer small? I am also a spearfishing junkie. Hows the beach? Ohh and welcome:)

Personally, I like the upstate. Greenville/Spartanburg area. HunTing is not bad. Deer are generally smaller, but there are big deer here. Not Midwest or northern size antlers, but there are very respectable deer.I have killed 200 lb deer here. Took a for this year over 100lbs. Dnr estimates my area to have between 35-45 deer per square mile . We have pretty good fishing. Bas smaster classic this weekend nearby on lake Hartwell. I don't enjoy the coast as much, but the Midlands to the foot hills are great.
And thanks for the welcome

I might be able to survive without the ocean. And i dont care about body size much I am a head hunter. Thanks for the info.

Hello essdud(sc upstate), I am currently living in Spartanburg and had a great hunting season this year. This was my first year in the saddle...new tribe aero hunter evolution. If you need some help setting up your saddle let me know. It took me a while to find the sweet spot. Welcome !

I just purchased the evolution myself two weeks ago. I can't wait to use it this upcoming season. I'm from the Charlotte area in North Carolina so I'm not far from you. Welcome to the site

Hey guys i know its not saddle stuff and dont wanba bug ya but you fellas are my only connection lol. What areas are the refineries in? I drive a gas tanker so thinking the tank companies will be near refineries. Need to look for a job so i can kiss nj goodbye!

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to using the aero evolution instead of that climbing saddle I used last season. I believe it'll be much more comfy to use something that was intended to be used the way I'm using it. Charlotte isn't far at all and I'm up in the Wingate area with some of my family whenever I can be.
As far as the refineries, I hate to admit that I don't know. I live in the northwest third of the state and there's so much going on that I don't even pay attention to what the lower section. It's very different in the lower half than the upper state in sc.

Don't know where the refineries are but there are MANY truck driver jobs in the upstate. Good luck.

My aero hunter was scheduled to arrive today, but due to the blizzard (I got a half inch of snow on my yard in Laurens county ) it was delayed. Hopefully it'll show up tomorrow and I can test drive it this weekend. I may take you up on your offer to advise if I have any trouble or questions.

I just got home today and was excited to see a box by my porch. My aero evolution has arrived. I didn't even go inside , I just opened it, stepped in, cinched all the straps tight (I probably should have ordered the smaller size, but I'm right on the cusp) and walked over to my practice tree with climbing rope and steps already in it. I just dangled a couple feet off the ground and sorta adjusted everything. Fits pretty good and is much MUCH better than the old climbing saddle I was trying to use.
I believe I'm going to replace the tree strap and maybe not need linemans belt. I will work on it after work tomorrow or Sunday if it's nice outside.

Got my Aero Evolution yesterday. Fiddled around with it today after work. Probably gonna redo the bridge and use my climbing rope instead of the tree strap and lineman's belt that came with it. Also, may need to find a way to lighten it up but it's not a big deal. It definitely more comfy than the climbing saddle I used last year. Definitely heavier too, but again, not a big deal.
