Hello from Long Island, NY! First year hunter excited to learn from all of the experience and knowledge in this forum. Stumbled on saddle hunting listening to a podcast and cant wait to get involved.

Welcome.

If you get straight into the saddle you may save yourself the frustration of carrying 20lbs stands all over the place. Consider yourself lucky. Lol.
