New to saddle hunting this year, and very excited. Took a leap of faith on the purchase at the recommendation of a friend. I was eyeing up a bunch of hang on portables, but was persuaded.
I typically hunt northern Minnesota on a piece of private my family owns. However I am getting into public more over the last few years. Closer to home, a challenge, and something different are all aspects to the change. The saddle concept sounded a hell of a lot more friendly than a LW or X on my back hiking and wading back a mile and a half into a swamp. This year is going to be a learning experience for sure, but an exciting one. Look forward to picking up on some techniques and knowledge from this site.
Good luck to all on 2018 season. Hunt safe!
