Hello Everyone. My name is Van and I am a lifelong duck hunter who only occasionally went to the deer woods. I feel like I'm maybe 25 years behind all of this. My last tree stand was made out of 2x4's and plywood. Wait...I had a Summit in there too, but some numb nut stole it off of my tree. Anyway - I am getting back into bow hunting after giving up fighting idiots in duck waters...besides, the ducks have moved their migration away from here. I bought a Hawk Helium last year and see the benefits of it; however, I just could not get comfortable in that thing. I would love to meet up with someone local as my primary hunting buddy (my son) has gotten married and moved to Memphis. I look forward to interactions on here and in real life if it can happen.
 
Another welcome from Michigan! There's several members from KY, hopefully at least one is nearby!

Hello KYhunter. I hope you and your family fared well after all the flooding. Sad what that part of our state is going through...my son and I were outside of HIndman last year on an Elk hunt. I'm going to pick up his mount next week.
